Sometimes you need a container that can be opened at both ends. For example, when transporting special cargo or when an extra secure passageway is needed. In these types of situations a double door container can be utilized. Various types and sizes of double door containers are available for purchase and rental by Hacon.
The difference between a regular container and a double door container is that the double door variant has doors at both ends of the container. A big advantage of this is not only accessibility, but it also is helpful while loading the container. You no longer have to determine in advance which cargo needs to be placed in the back and which cargo needs to be placed in the front.
Additionally, this container with double doors is very useful as a secure passageway during construction work next to a sidewalk, temporary bridge over excavation work, (pedestrian) tunnel, or any other situation where people need a safe passage. This container can also be used when incorporating a machine that must be accessible from both sides.
The double door containers are available in various sizes. The smallest size is the 10ft containers. These are available with both a wooden and a steel floor. The steel floor variant is equipped with a fully welded steel floor and can therefore be used when transporting (more hazardous) liquids. The most commonly used model is the 20ft double door container and, like all of our new double door containers, is CSC certified and complies with ISO standards. For taller loads, our 20ft high cube double door container is ideal. Because it is one foot (about 30 cm) higher, you can easily fit loads with non-standard sizes or shapes. Finally, Hacon also has the 40ft high cube double door container for sale or rent. This is our largest model with double doors on both sides, and offers a lot of space for loading or an extra long secure passageway.

The 10ft Double Door Steel Floor container has the same qualities as the 10ft with the wooden floor, but instead this container has a fully welded checker plate steel floor.
The 20ft Double Door container has container doors on both ends.
The 20ft High Cube Double Door container is 1ft (approximately 30 cm) higher than the standard 20ft Double Door container.
