On behalf of Mammoet we have converted an 8ft storage container into a small storage space (site office container). Due to the small dimensions, the 8ft site office container is easy to transport, as it fits exactly in a 20ft or 40ft container. This cuts back transport costs.
First of all, both container doors were removed and replaced with a fixed steel panel, after which the J-bars of the hinges were neatly welded shut. The steel panel is equipped with a wicket door and a turn-tilt window and a sun protection hatch was added.
This 8ft container is fully insulated with 25 mm styrisol and 18 mm okoume wood. The interior consists of a table, two benches with hinged seats and a storage cupboard with two sliding doors. The tables, seats and cupboard are also made of okoume wood and have been varnished.
The electrical installation has also been considered. The container is therefore equipped with a group cabinet, multiple electricity outlets, a light switch, a convection heater and a table-top fridge. The power supply is derived through a steel niche within the ISO dimensions of the container. Finally, the container was sprayed with a high-quality polyurethane top coating in the red color RAL3002.
